LiveNPC is a plug-and-play template that adds real-time AI dialogue to any Ren'Py visual novel. Drop the files into your existing project and your characters can respond dynamically to anything a player says. No pre-written dialogue required. Build a game around it or add it to one you're already making.

Requirements:

Ren'Py 8.0 or higher. Players need a free API key from their chosen provider unless dev ships project with API key.

LiveNPC may be used in personal and commercial projects. Redistribution or resale of the template itself, in whole or in part, is not permitted without prior permission.

⚠️ LiveNPC is still somewhat experimental. As far as I can tell, nobody's really attempted this, so no real frame of reference. AI APIs are third-party services subject to outages and unexpected changes. Bugs should be expected. Provided as-is for developers comfortable with some troubleshooting. ⚠️
